Disappointing
I went to see Don West sing and play the piano. Diana's voice sounded weak and sick from the start, almost whispering. In general, she let her band carry her. Here and there, a few chords and a few whispers came out. Both of which were scarce. The guitar player got the most airplay. Most songs during the first hour were slow ballads along with instrumental solos. I left the show after about 70 minutes. I was very frustrated and disappointed. I didn't come to see her band, I came to see her. She made a strange comment about not having played out since late in 2026. I would not buy another ticket to see her. I truly enjoy her recordings where she plays lots of piano and sings strong. She may have even been under some sort of influence of alcohol or drugs. Very disappointed and sad to have spent this much money as I was very excited to go and took off from work early that day.
